Tatjana Pirovic

Tatjana Pirovic was born on 28 December 1964. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Belgrade University in 1989. She took her master’s degree in 1992. She has been a member of the Association of Serbian Painters since 1990.

She spent some time in Prague following an invitation to exhibit her works in the ‘Miro’ gallery. She has been part of more than 90 group exhibitions and has had more than 40 individual exhibitions to date. Her work includes drawings and watercolours and she also paints icons. She has taken part in numerous humanitarian events. Her pictures can be found in many private collections all over the world – in Canada, USA, Philippines, Australia, Germany, Greece, Japan, England, Hungary, the Czech Republic, etc. She is winner of the ‘Beta and Rista Vukanovic’ prize in Belgrade in 1988 as well as winner of the ‘Milena Pavlovic Barili’ Biennale in Pozarevac in 2001.Tatjana lives and works in Belgrade. Tatjana Pirovic is a painter who has the largeness of outlook on life and who constantly strives to undertake daring ventures worthy of an experienced explorer. One such accomplishment is her ability to descend into the unfathomable depths of a human soul. In her work, being true to herself, she throws light on life, the environment and space. She connects the invisible to the visible and in this way discovers new paths towards the beautiful, spiritual and holy. What she discovers in this way, she inhabits in eternity. She is inspired by landscapes, human figures and body movements denoting a rich philosophical background and is dedicated to today’s modern composers Piazzola, Goretsky and Spanoudakis. Tatjana’s paintings show new emotions and motives as well as new challenges she sets for herself on her artistic path, where at the end there dwells BEAUTY.
